"Success without the stress" is my motto. I love working with students and their unique learning styles to help them succeed in school their own way :). If you feel stuck, I can help! I graduated summa cum laude in English and History with Honors at Seattle University, with a Minor in Medieval Studies. I have a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, which gave me many fabulous resources for teaching anything to a wide variety of learners. I am also certified in Clinical Herbalism and Nutrition.
Experience
I've been a private tutor both locally and online since 2010, helping high school and college students to win at school, their way. Whether it's editing a paper, explaining special right triangles, or helping them learn study skills that will make school easier for the rest of their lives, helping students figure out what works best for them is what I do. Prior to 2010 I taught ESL and basic math and writing skills to adults in the Seattle Community College District and at a Denver nonprofit. Hobbies
When I'm not tutoring (or studying for tutoring!) I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, doing yoga, getting outside, reading anything I can get my hands on, cooking delicious, nutritious foods, and staying caught up with as many awesome TV shows as possible. My students also fill me in on what I miss, and keep me up to date on the latest music, movies, etc.
