I have always valued the pursuit of knowledge. This value is something that I not only live my life by, but it is also something that I share with my students in the classroom. As a teacher, I realize that all students have specific interests. This is why, in order to be an effective tutor, I must understand each of my students on a personal level. I have found that once I build this relationship, I am better able to develop a study method that works for them. Eventually, after some practice, my students are then able to independently pursue knowledge on their own time. I am passionate about helping my students sharpen their reading and writing skills, as these skills are extremely useful in the professional world. I have been tutoring since I was 15 years old. I began as a Catholic Confirmation Teacher and I helped many of my fellow college classmates with their essay writing. I currently tutor my six children by helping them overcome many of the academic challenges that they have faced throughout their lives. I have a bachelor's degree from Regis University in human resource management and an MBA in finance and accounting. My hobbies include learning, playing sports, and spending time with my children.
