Writing Tutor for 2 years in college at the college tutoring center 2 years professional experience as a technical / creative writer I've kept a daily journal since middle school. I write and read in my spare time. I love working with people and helping them understand the English language. I love teaching them how to read persuasive or pointed language, I enjoy showing them how to use the language as a tool of communication and persuasion. I had difficulty in high school writing essays, and I had teachers who could not, would not, did not explain how to write in a formal setting- essays, reports, persuasive articles, etc.- until I reached college. If I can help someone break through the wall of writing an essay or learning the language, I feel like I can give back to my community and help others overcome what I went through.

Hobbies
I enjoy running with my yellow lab and my corgi, Byron. Byron is named after my favorite poet, Lord Byron. I am learning how to knit and weave- so far only friendship bracelets, but I'm quickly improving! I make sure I learn something new every day- whether it be a piece of history or a trick to cleaning my kitchen. I play video games with my brother and watch movies with friends. When I get the chance, I like to explore Colorado- I hike, I ski, I drive to mountain towns and stay for the weekend. I work contractually writing promotional tests for fire and police departments, and I love it. I've participated in multiple firefighter citizen academies and training, and I enjoy learning about the science and law behind the rules, procedures and guidelines.
