Private tutor in Englewood, CO
Rutgers University-New Brunswick - BS, Astrophysics
I am a tutor with experience tutoring both college and high school students, but I have an interest in working with students of any age group. At the college level, I assisted in teaching calculus for two years. At the high school level, I have experience tutoring multiple students in physics. I am primarily interested in tutoring students in math and science, including algebra, calculus, geometry, elementary math, middle school math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, physics, astronomy, multi-variable calculus, arithmetic, pre-algebra, science, AP calculus, and AP science. I believe that math is an essential skill for life, which is why I take such an interest in teaching it. I specialize in teaching students creative problem-solving skills and building my students' critical thinking skills. I like to make sure my students understand basic concepts and framework before moving on to higher-level skills. My educational path led me to obtaining a bachelor's degree in astrophysics with a minor in mathematics from Rutgers University, and I'm hoping to go to graduate school in the near future. My academic philosophy incorporates the idea that learning is a lifelong endeavor. I currently live in Denver, Colorado. In my free time, l enjoy hiking, inline skating, biking, videography, photography, and playing hockey.
