Experience
I attended the University of Georgia to earn my bachelor's degree in English. I had the opportunity as an undergraduate to tutor at a local high school helping at-risk teens. Tutoring these students, we work on relationships and academics. This experience also me realize that students are driven to learn when the teaching approach is customized to their interests and lessons are given in unique ways. I'm also certified to teach ESL, which is another pursuit that has helped me develop effective teaching techniques. I can tutor students in a number of different subjects, but my favorites are literature, essay writing, and English. When I have free time, I like to get out in the Colorado sun for some hiking, biking, or camping. I also enjoy paintball, cooking, playing video games, and spending time with my dog.
